Education Event: Alles Ist Gut

Following the successful ‘Worm Workshop’ event held at Askham Bryan College in York last year, the Thoroughbred Breeders' Association (TBA) has brought together a panel of experts to build on the event and discuss a holistic approach to gastrointestinal health.

Held at Newbury Racecourse on August 13th (11:15am-2:30pm) presentations will explore the impact of helminths and common veterinary medications on the gut microbiome, and describe how these may influence the long-term health and performance of the thoroughbred.

The talks will also cover important subjects, such as antimicrobial stewardship and how the Thoroughbred breeding industry can play its part in safeguarding the efficacy of these hugely important drugs. Delegates will have the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers during a guided Q&A session, to be hosted by the Chair of the TBA’s Veterinary Committee, James Crowhurst.

The event is free for TBA Members/ACCESS subscribers. Non-members can purchase a ticket for this event at £60, which also includes a year's subscription to the TBA's ACCESS level of membership - included within this is access to all courses and resources on TB-Ed free of charge.
