Equine Science Programme Coordinator and Teaching Fellow: The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies
Victoria completed her BA(Hons) at the University of Cambridge (2012) and a Master's in Equine Science from the University of Edinburgh (2017). In 2018 Victoria graduated with a Master's degree in Instrumental Analytical Science from the Robert Gordon University, where she undertook an Erasmus traineeship at the Universidade do Minho in Braga, Portugal. Victoria then completed her PhD at the Royal Veterinary College investigating the genomic architecture of equine exertional rhabdomyolysis, funded by the RVC’s Mellon Fund for Equine Research. She was the 2023 recipient of the McKeever Prize for the Graduating PhD Student with the Best Original Research Paper. Her research interests are in equine complex genetic traits, including exertional rhabdomyolysis, food motivation, infectious diseases and performance traits.
