Be A Part Of It: Breeding In Britain - a new six-part series

An ariel view of paddocks and horses

Great British Racing International (GBRI) and The Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association (TBA) have launched the first episode in a new six-part video series entitled Be A Part Of It: Breeding In Britain.

The series will showcase Britain’s world-leading thoroughbred breeding operations underpinned by a thriving stallion market and highlight why many of the world’s most prolific owner-breeders have chosen Britain as the headquarters for their bloodstock interests. The series features six of Britain’s world-renowned studs: Lanwades Stud, Tweenhills, Watership Down Stud, Shadwell Stud, The National Stud and Hazelwood Bloodstock.

So far in 2024, 26 horses bred at 15 studs in Britain have won Group/Grade 1 flat races across seven countries. Britain’s stallion roster provides a wide variety of bloodlines to utilise with 12 stallions having sired Group/Grade 1 winners in eight countries from 6f (1200m) to 1m4f (2400m) in 2024, to-date.

One episode will be released each Monday via the GBRI and TBA social media channels and can also be found on GBRI’s website by clicking HERE.

The final episode will launch on Monday 25th November ahead of the Tattersalls December Breeding Stock Sales.

The series this year follows on from a successful campaign in 2023 that featured Juddmonte’s Banstead Manor Farm, Blue Diamond Stud, Darley’s Dalham Hall Stud, Newsells Park Stud and Whitsbury Manor Stud.
