Equine Emergency First Aid - book now

A handler holds a horse in a stable while a colleague takes its temperature.

The practical, hands-on course is open to anyone working in or around thoroughbred yards - stud grooms, stud hands, barn/yard managers and breeding staff - and no prior first aid qualification is needed.

Learners will come away with:

• The confidence and skills to respond effectively in an equine emergency before the vet arrives
• A nationally recognised Level 3 qualification

📆Date: Wednesday, 24th June

📍Venue: The National Stud, Newmarket

💷Cost: £60 (including lunch)

The course has been deliberately scheduled for late June - once the intensity of the covering and covering season has passed - making it easier for stud farms to release staff for the day without disrupting core operations.

The Thoroughbred Breeders' Association (TBA) is pleased to support this Racing Staff Development Programme organised course.

What's Included?

  • Full day of expert-led, including practical training
  • Content tailored to the thoroughbred environment
  • A nationally-recognised Level 3 qualification
  • Lunch provided
  • A venue at the heart of British thoroughbred breeding
